Breasts that are too small or too big can both cause problems for women. For small breasts, atrophic breasts after breast feeding, and a mild degree of breast ptosis can be corrected easily by breast implants with excellent results and small scars in the armpits.

Women who have giant breasts and desire smaller ones will have to accept some visible scarring on the breasts after the operation -- but it is worth it. Western people usually develop nice scars but Asian people usually develop keloid scar tissue.

The breast prosthesis we use is high-grade silicone gel from the United States and Europe.

When women give birth multiple times through the vagina, the babies stretch the vagina to an unacceptable relaxation that may cause problems with sexual relations. Some women may experience urine incontinency. Our technic of repairing the vagina and correcting urine incontinency is performed under local anesthesia on out-patients.

It is now well know that liposuction is the only way to get rid of local fat on a woman's body effectively and permanently. This procedure can be used even with slim bodies that have isolated areas of fat such as in the lateral thigh which often persists even after intensive weight reduction.

Fat cells never regenerate after destruction so the minimal fat that remains after this procedure will maintain its mass at that level forever. No other non-surgical procedure can substitute for liposuction.

Undesirable "waviness" caused by wrong technique and careless movement of the cannula during suction can be prevented by using the proper fine cannula and carefully moving it during the procedure. Not only do we use a fine cannula but we also have developed our own special "smoothing procedure" to minimize waviness.

Our patients can choose to have the procedure performed under general anesthesia as an in-patient or under local anesthesia as an out-patient. With local anesthesia, the patient can observe the whole process and can drive home immediately after liposuction.

Those who have redundant abdominal skin and muscle relaxation resulting in bulging of the abdomen, even if they don't have too much fat, need to have a major operation called the "Tummy Tuck" to cut out excess skin and tighten the muscle.

This procedure needs general anesthesia and hospitalization for a few days.

Some patients also have so much fat that they also need separate liposuction and tummy tuck procedures. These procedures should not be combined because it can prolong serum oozing.

The only way to get rid of foul-smelling and wet armpits is surgery. Most of the apocrine and sweat glands will be removed, usually 80-90%, so the result is permanent.

Varicose veins are not only detestable but can cause suffering in the leg, manifesting themselves by symptoms such as heaviness, calf pain, night cramps, chronic ulcers, discoloration, ruptures and bleeding, etc. Patients who have varicose veins should have their venous system evaluated before starting treatment.

Small and medium-sized varicose veins without major vein disorders can be treated by sclerotherapy -- injecting some agent into the vein.

Large-sized varicose veins, especially those resulting from major vein disorders, can be treated by various kinds of surgery such as ministripping, major stripping or a combination of the two.

Most hemorrhoids occur from improper defication. We believe that few people know about bowel movement properly, even doctors. Proper bowel movement can prevent and treat hemorrhoids.

If hemorrhoids do occur, professional treatment is necessary. The procedures we use for this disease depend upon the type, stage, and symptoms of the patient.

Most early-stage internal hemorrhoids can be cured by simple methods and without any pain. Some cases in late stages also can be treated using simple methods but others need surgery called "Hemorrhoidectomy".

"Circumferential hemorrhoidectomy" is the best and latest technique we have developed for multiple large hemorrhoids. It leaves no visible scar around the anus, unlike former conventional techniques that always left ugly scars and carried a high risk of sphincter injury resulting in incontinency. Our technique can be performed under local anesthesia as an out-patient.
